Influenced
Went into town absolutely s**ting it down so i thought id let the storm calm off n browse through Waterstones. Came across a book i thoroughly enjoyed. The Small Stakes (Music Posters) by Jason Munn. It has inspired me into a style of work which consists of minamalist print. SOOO i bought it, and of course i bought the rollers to be able to produce such work. Hopefully later ill be able to show you some of my own progress on the style.

Shocking ****
My animation cannot be claimed to be entirely mine but a combined effort of Charles Vander Essen, Richard Toplisek, Graham Henry Jones and Lloyd Parker badman!
My work is the street charcoal inspired wall writing shizznizz that crawls along the gullies. Blegh.
Hope you enjoy the playfulness of it all.
Bin laden Bombs Task

Letter Arrangement

As a group we were asked to arrange typographically a make believe word up to describe what it meant, sounded, felt or looked like. I thought SCRIMSHANK was a perfect choice of vocabulary for this task. It was dirty and long sounding and utmost rude! Il leave it up to your own imaginations what you perceive this to be but try not to approach in such a crude manner.
A Thought.
Right iv been storming through the work putting as much as i can out there and realised that sum times its not the impression you give but the ones you make that counts. Committing yourself is a way of finding out who you are. A man finds his identity by identifying.
So do it!
Typography

A type poster which slips into the brochure jacket.

More TYPE and yes this is the same type face, but the one right above was for my book jacket design but i still have to get my head round to taking photo evidence. I have also made a poster which slips into the jacket which is a mix abstraction of letters on top of each other. I was satisfied with the outcome but more time management was greatly needed for me my self and I.
Typography

For this project i was to create an original typeface using Indesign. The type had to have a coherent style through out the letters. I ended up creating a type face which had a coded theme. After designing our type we then asked to implement it into a book format showcasing each letter on a A5 page. I do not usually enjoy the Type side of design but i have been very pleased with the outcome of this project and i would continue to investigate into letter forms more in a illustrative style i.e Graffiti. A FRESH START..

So here i am another junkie of the internet age, Facebook, Myspace, Twitter and now Blogger. Scary to think access to all my personal details is open to anyone but hey ho hopefully this ones beneficial! Here is a drawing which i scanned and then using photoshop CS4 painted in using an airbrush. The picture was for a smoking poster and the colours where chosen due to the toxic implications that come with the habit.
